A Time to Drum
Welcome to Blue Mountain Entertainment, a new Canadian film production company located on Prince Edward Island. We are dedicated to providing quality, hopeful, inspiring documentaries, short films, feature dramas, music videos, promotional films and whatever else comes our way!
A museum professional for the early part of her career life, founder Susan Rodgers recently spent a year attending Vancouver Film School. The name "Blue Mountain" comes from a street in Coquitlam, BC. By bus or car, when she reached Blue Mountain Street, Susan was home. Blue Mountain Entertainment is home. During her museum years, Susan wrote, produced, and directed a World War II drama set in Summerside, PEI. Bobby’s Peace was a well received first film that sold to CBC and Bravo. Susan has also written a number of feature screenplays that she plans to develop. First on the list is The Healing Place, a drama about a single mom searching for her missing son, and a hockey player escaping a dark past. Blue Mountain Entertainment is also actively engaged in the pre-development of a feature documentary about the Highland Games Circuit, featuring ‘get up and dance, make your blood boil’ Celtic snare drumming during the journey towards a triumphant finale. Susan is also writing A Time To Drum, a fictional tale about a young rebel drummer.
Blue Mountain Entertainment is adventurous and confident. Our mandate is to make films that matter, that entertain, that offer the viewer a little escape. We want to make these films on Prince Edward Island, Canada’s smallest Province, and with a little encouragement and support from the people around us, we know we can do just that. Thanks for your visit. Please pour yourself a cup of tea, browse around, see if a project interests you, and leave us a little note so we know you dropped by. Have a wonderful day!
