Making it To Triumph Street
Christopher, from a small town in Prince Edward Island, left everything and everyone he loves behind in order to achieve his dream of playing in a Grade One pipe band. Because Triumph Street won the 2007 North American Championships, they moved up to Grade One, the highest level in the world. They will be competing against legendary bands and will be travelling annually to the North American and World Pipe Band Championships. For any Celtic snare drummer, it is the ultimate accomplishment to belong to a Grade One band and play alongside individual open and professional champions. For Christopher, playing with Triumph Street would be a dream come true.
The stakes are high. This is a big year – Christopher is in Grade Twelve, the year of senior prom, graduation activities, cherishing friendships. Making It To Triumph Street chronicles Christopher’s journey – what has been left behind, what can be gained, the sacrifices it will take to become a member of this world famous drum corps.
