Drummerboyz The good times can’t last forever – or can they, in this Maritime dramedy in the style of Men With Brooms. Celtic snare drummer Billy O’Keefe is pushing thirty, single, wild, rebellious, a slacker. He is so engrossed in the jigs and reels of Scottish Pipe Band music that nothing else seems to matter. Between parents still grieving the decade old loss of Billy’s brother, and drumming buddies growing up around him, his ex-girlfriend’s Scots Grandmother Nan becomes his only true friend as the impending end of Billy’s cavalier way of life forces him to face his past. Tragedy tests his devotion to the life he thinks he loves – this and coaching kids in drumming teach Billy that there are constructive ways in which to release pain. He realizes that life is more than one big party and that to care about others means letting go of a bit of yourself.
